Okay, not really! I'm an 18 year old boy, but I'm beginning to think i have the reading taste of said 15 year old girl.

Why, you ask? My bookcase is slowly filling with YA dystopian Novels, and already contains Manga!

Now, I'll admit, a lot of this kind of stuff does have a crossover appeal (come on, why else would they have so many cosplay sites?!?!) but seriously, its been preying on my mind for AGES!

I think its simply a liking for Dystopian fiction - its just that, you know, the most raved about novels are either japanese or written for american teenage girls! I'll bite, The hunger games is a REALLY good book, and I have tried reading battle royale (I'll just find the movie), but I'm worried (aside from BR) about the amount of my bookcase which I share with some spoiled brat in California, or an Applejack in Arkansas!

Yeah, it isn't much of a rant, I know, I just felt like venting it! Still, fiction is fiction - if its good, read it!

Okay, and admittedly, it isn't FILLED with it, I've just noticed I go into the YA section in waterstones! Its stuck in my mind! XD

For those of you wondering what I mean, I'll explain why I like some books:

- The Hunger Games - its honestly one of the best series I've read! Well paced, really emotive, and surprisingly likely, what with some events in American politics (SOPA, PIPA, NDAA), and the romance isn't the selling point - its just and additional element! And for once, the guy she wants ISN'T a total count! *cough*TWILIGHT*cough*

- Divergent - very similar to THG, except instead of post-apocalyptic America divided by economic means sending in kids to kill each other on TV, its Chicago divided based on personality aspects. Yeah, its not as good as THG, but its a decent story!

- Dark Inside - this one is a good book! I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of YA fiction, zombie apocalypse, and dystopian novels! (Not exactly the disease-laden zombies, but everyone becomes psychopathically murderous after some earthquakes - better have a good sequel!)

So yeah, you know, just a rant/review/sell-out-of-blog.

Also, has anyone read Wither by Lauren DeStefano? I've heard its also pretty cool, and someone described it as "Gothic horror for teens" and i always like something described as "gothic" (that's why I did so well in English!)
